creamy herbed dip with lemon & dill

This is one you’ll want to try.  Just the thing to throw together when friends are stopping by.  The base is made with plain old cream cheese and a small amount of heavy cream.  The fresh lemon zest and herbs are mixed in and that’s it!  Perfect with fresh veggies or breadsticks for dipping.  Add some cheese and fresh fruit and you’ll have quite the spread.

I love the fact that this can be made to suit your personal taste.  Maybe you don’t care for the taste of dill.  Try adding basil instead.  Like your dip to have more of a lemony flavor?  Add some of the juice of the zested lemon.  Really.  Make it your own.

Once all of the herbs are mixed in, give it a quick taste.  You’ll most likely want to add some salt & pepper.  And that’s it.  Store it in the fridge until you’re ready to add it to your tray of goodies.
